cetak sejarah, etimnas indonesia juara afc easian cup 2024                            etimnas indonesia berhasil meraih gelar juara afc easian cup 2024. ini didapat setelah rizky faidan, elga cahya dan akbar paudie mengalahkan jepang pada final yang digelar di virtuocity arena doha, qatar.
pertandingan final ini berjalan ketat sejak dimulainya permainan. duet faidan- elga yang diturunkan pada laga ini sempat memimpin di awal laga. 
akan tetapi, tim jepang yang menurunkan aihara tsubasa dan hashiki shumpei menyamakan kedudukan menjadi 1- 1 yang memaksa laga harus dilanjutkan ke babak redundant time. 
pada babak ini permainan berlangsung tak ada satupun gol pembeda yang tercipta hingga laga harus dilanjutkan dalam drama adu penalti.

skuad egaruda pun memenangkan pertandingan di leg pertama,dengan menang melalui drama adu penalti 3-2. 
pada leg kedua duet faidan-elga kembali diturunkan untuk demi untuk menghadapi skuad samurai biru. dengan bermain tenang di sepanjang laga.
 etimnas indonesia pun sukses mencetak gol di laga ini sekaligus membawa mereka merengkuh gelar juara pada gelaran afc easian cup 2023.
“pertandingan lawan jepang hari ini cukup berat karena mereka bermain menekan sejak babak pertama. kami sudah memakai semua game play untuk bisa menekan mereka, namun harus diakui penampilan tim jepang berbeda saat kami menghadapi mereka di fase grup. alhamdulillah semua bisa terlewati dan kami bisa meraih gelar juara” ujar elga cahya.

sama halnya diakui oleh faidan yang bertanding penuh di setiap pertandingan etimnas di afc easian cup 2023. ia juga mengaku hari ini kedua tim bermain dengan ngotot dan ketat agar bisa berhasil membawa trofi juara untuk pertama kali. 
"harus diakui jepang bermain berbeda hari ini, dan kami sedikit ditekan dengan game play mereka. tapi kami tetap tenang di sepanjang pertandingan dan mengendalikan diri agar bisa tampil maksimal. alhamdulillah kami bisa menang dan mencetak sejarah baru di event ini” ujar faidan.
“tidak bisa berkata-kata lagi atas pencapaian ini sekaligus bersyukur bisa membawa piala ini ke indonesia untuk pertama kali. semua perjuangan kami lakukan untuk indonesia dan terimakasih atas dukungan keluarga dan suporter yang terus mendukung kami dari awal hingga akhir” tutup akbar paudie.
pada akhirnya indonesia berhasil meraih trofi sekaligus gelar afc easian cup 2023 untuk pertama kali dalam sejarah.
